After months of hard work, the first-ever Race Against Trafficking 5K took place this past Saturday, October 25th at the Reach 11 Sports Complex in Phoenix. And the event was a big success!
We had almost 750 participants in the race, a very large number for a first-year event, thanks to the 46 teams of runners and walkers who participated in the race. And 21 non-profits that help fight human trafficking benefitted from the proceeds generated by the event.
Evans Communications' Andrea Tyler Evans and Emily Nelssen worked diligently to make sure the race went off without a hitch, and we're very proud of the results. We thank everyone who participated in the event and supported the efforts to make this the first of an annual event that will get bigger every year.
And yes, we are still accepting donations for the Race Against Trafficking effort AND donations for all of our Non-Profit Teams! The link is at www.RATraceAZ.org. We'll keep you posted on upcoming news and events as it relates to the race and this important issue. Again, THANK YOU for your support!
