ACG Arizona events promise to connect business community

Our client the Association for Corporate Growth-Arizona chapter is one of the leading networking groups in the Valley business community, connecting business professionals in the mergers and acquisitions field.

They have two great events coming up that are open to the public. The first is their Our third annual "A Celebration of Leadership" event on Tuesday, September 19 from 7 to 9 a.m. at the Arizona Biltmore Resort. This year, they're getting together some of the most renowned Board leaders in the Arizona marketplace for a Board of Directors panel discussion. You can register for this event at this link. Click here for a calendar link.

And on Tuesday, October 24, ACG Arizona will be hosting its “A Taste of Private Equity” wine tasting event from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the new Mountain Shadows Resort. This event includes great food and drink as well as a panel discussion on the private equity industry in Arizona. Click here to register for this event. A calendar link is available here.

We hope to see you at one of these great events!

Spring has sprung for Evans Communications and its clients!

Ah, March. Or as we call it in Arizona, heaven. But with this weather comes one minor little side effect — it’s without question the busiest time of the year.

And that certainly holds true for the Evans Communications team and our amazing mix of clients. Here are just a few of the things we’ve been up to over the past few weeks.

• For the second year in a row we helped Valley of the Sun United Way put on “Win UNITED: A Scavenger Hunt for Valley of the Sun United Way.” It’s one of the most unique fundraisers in town and helped generate more than $41,000 for the United Way’s work in our community.

• But that’s not all, because we’re just gearing up to help them with “We Are UNITED,” a fundraising event featuring Academy Award-winning actor Geena Davis. We can’t wait to meet this incredible woman and hear her perspective on women’s issues!

• Then there was this — the 2017 Historymakers Gala, which we’ve been working with the Historical League, Inc. on for almost two years. It was a great night honoring some true Arizona legends.

• You may have seen our work on the new Frontdoors Media, including our completely revamped March 2017 issue. We hope you enjoyed it, and if you missed it, take a moment to check it out.

• And on the PR and marketing front, our team just finished a revamp of the web site for SkySong, The ASU Scottsdale Innovation Center, including a brand-new video on the project — take a look below:

So we’ve been pretty busy, but that’s how we like it...and that’s when we know we’re serving our clients the best.

Thanks for reading this. And for our day-to-day updates, follow us on Facebook and Twitter for more info.

Enjoy the great weather and have a wonderful spring!

To paraphrase Ice Cube, "We gotta say it was a good day"

It's a typical Friday afternoon here at Evans Communications, but we wanted to give a quick shout-out to a couple of our clients who had particularly good days today:

Plaza Companies was recognized once again as one of Arizona's Most Admired Companies in an event this week with AZ Big Media. They were also ranked #4 on the Phoenix Business Journal's list of Women-Owned Businesses in Arizona. Congratulations to our long-time client Sharon Harper and the rest of the Plaza team on this recognition!

• And one of our new clients was in the spotlight as well. Sun Studios of Arizona's CEO Darrin Ramage wrote a guest editorial for the Phoenix Business Journal that ran in today's issue on the tremendous opportunity Arizona has to grow its entertainment and media industry presence.

Congratulations to both clients on having a good Friday. Enjoy your weekend!
